SN65HVD230 can be used in higher interference environments. The device has good transmit and receive capabilities at different speeds, and its main features are as follows:
Fully compatible with ISO11898 standard;
High input impedance allows 120 nodes;
Low current standby mode, typical current is 370μA
Signal transmission rate up to 1Mb / s;
With thermal protection, open circuit failure protection function;
With the function of resisting instantaneous interference and protecting the bus;
Slope control to reduce radio frequency interference (RFI);
Differential receiver with a wide range of common mode interference and electromagnetic interference (EMI) capabilities.

Working mode and control logic
SN65HVD230 has three different working modes of high speed, slope and wait. Its working mode control can be realized through the Rs control pin. Figure 2 is a typical application diagram of SN65HVD230 in CAN bus system. As can be seen from the figure, the output pin Tx of the CAN controller is connected to the data input terminal D of the SN65HVD230, and the data sent by this CAN node can be transmitted to the CAN network; while the receiving pins of the CAN controller Rx and SN65HVD230 are The data output terminal R is connected for receiving data. The SN65HVD230 mode selection port Rs is connected to a slope resistor connected to ground at one end through a jumper. The hardware mode can be used to select 3 working modes. The slope resistor is a potentiometer of 0 ~ 100kΩ.
