About P0 port pull-up resistance:

If the STC89C52 version is used, if the P0 port is used for external output drive, an external pull-up resistor is required. For general LCD buses such as the LCD1602 and LCD12864 bus, it can be used directly without external pull-up resistors.

If it is STC12C5A60S2 version, you can use registers P0M1 and P0M0 to set the IO drive mode. No external pull-up resistor required
