H-Bridge's are typically used in controlling motors speed and direction, but can be used for other projects such as driving the brightness of certain lighting projects such as high powered LED arrays.

L298N is a high voltage, high current dual full-bridge driver that drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, DC and stepping motor. It has an operating supply voltage up to 35V and peak DC current of 2A per motor. It also has an onboard 5V regulator which ease connection to the microcontroller circuit.
